In our lives, we each need a new foundation -- One that is rested on the solid rock of the Lord.
When we looked at our own building, low and behold - we saw the rocks had shifted over time and we were in need of a secure structure that would not yield with time. We prayed for years and it came to pass that our prayers were heard. Many miracles wove together to bring the church off its crumbling rocks and into the air as it awaited a new solid foundation.
Land was donated to bring the utilities up to modern codes. Many carpenters and excavators donated hours and machinery to the job. Consultations and advice filtered into the plan and prayer sealed the action. The Church was lifted into the air and hovered over the hole as it was dug deeper and deeper to accommodate a real cellar.
The
moneys came in as community and those who still see this church as their
original home brought forward dollars and thousands to the work at hand.
Each time a bill came due, the unsolicited amounts arrived on time to pay each
one. It is when we are in need, that God's hand is most obvious to us.
We praise Him and ask Him to specially bless those who heard His call.
The
little church in the hills was given a new start, much like we are, when we
trust in the Lord with our hearts and souls.
Since then, we have put on stairway bulkheads, new center steps (beautiful for weddings) and a ramp for the sanctuary.
With prayerful help, we were approved for a well and for septic and these
were funded, as is His will.
The Lord has truly blessed our little faith community.
We now have a bathroom for use during the services.
